About DIET Goalpara, Dudhnoi
As per the provision of the National Policy on Education (NEP, 1986) for the development of teacher education, a centrally sponsored scheme of restructuring and reorganization of teacher education was approved in October 1987. One of the five components of the scheme was the establishment of DIETs. Till date, 23 DIETs have been established in Assam phase-wise. District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Goalpara, Dudhnoi was established in the year 1994 as a second phase DIET. Since then we have been offering our sincere effort to bring about a paradigm shift in school education through teacher education in the greater Goalpara District.

The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Goalpara, Dudhnoi is a premier institution affiliated with Gauhati University and recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), India. DIET Goalpara, Dudhnoi offers a range of programs, including:
- Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
